ABOUT

Changing the face of compliance

No longer is the world of compliance and auditing just about suits with ties and briefcases.

Compliance is woven in to the fabric of societal and commercial expectations. For most, it's a burden. For some, a chore. We'd be retired in three years for the amount of company representatives that have fallen foul of the common misconceptions about compliance. It's boring, yes. So let's make it fun. We make your craft our craft.

We will talk about the serious stuff, and about cake. Cake is important. And delicious. The cake analogy is important. It simplifies those all important processes. We don't do manuals that are thicker than a Mary Berry cookbook.

We embrace the joys of modern technology to bring you a blended approach to compliance.

And we'll always be honest with you. From the perfect soufflé to the soggy bottom, we'll give you the good, the bad and the ugly.

We had a vision for our business. Professional. Simplicity. Honesty. And fun.

OUR TEAM

Director Lauren Agar

Lauren Agar

Director

Lauren’s working experience started at the age of 17, and she spent the best part of 14 years working in the cleaning industry. That’s where she first became involved with ISO’s, internally managing the ISO 9001:2015 & 14001:2015 management systems and health & safety. From there she jumped to the other side, starting work for an ISO consultancy. Fast forward two years on, and another leap of faith lead to the launch of Agar Bowles Ltd with Zoe.

A country girl at heart and a mum to one – or five if you count the dogs, Lauren spends much of her week pulling her hair out (being careful to leave the grey in place, of course). But when not being summoned with ‘mummy, mummy, mummy’, she enjoys shooting, photography and anything that allows her to be generally creative, active and in the countryside. However, no activities are undertaken without a minimum three doses of caffeine in the morning!

Director Zoe Bowles

Zoe Bowles

Director

Zoe began working at 16 and has a varied background, from working in hospitality to the NHS, private health clubs and adult education. After this, she worked for her local council where as part of the customer service management team, she completed her BSI qualification in ISO 9001:2015. After working in many organisation Zoe is able to turn her mind to any view on quality management, with one clear goal. Making sure you deliver great customer satisfaction every single time.

Zoe can find home almost anywhere, but currently lives in the village of Cliffe (yes, that is where Boris wanted to put his airport!) with her husband and two children. Zoe has recently become a Director of Community Driving School CIC, an organisation which really captured her heart during Lockdown 2020. In her "spare time" Zoe is a great lover of all things crochet and whilst she can literally make anything she turns her hand to, is frequently reminded that "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." Apparently crochet underpants are not all the rage!

Since beginning work, at the age of 16, Ailisha has gained experience within adult education, recruitment and most recently, IT services. This is where she internally managed ISO 9001:2015 and 27001:2013 and gained her BSI certification in ISO 9001:2015 Transition and ISO 27001:2013 lead implementor.

Ailisha enjoys fitness and has started to regularly train alongside her partner, since becoming a mum to one and having to take a break. Ailisha has completed the Yorkshire three peaks challenge in aid of Charity and has not been afraid to get the gloves on and participate in a charity boxing event.

The Wellbeing Team

Cat
Rolo

Client Quality Control

Client meetings. Internal meetings. Anything remotely service or quality related, Rolo attends all types of meetings to ensure that the company standards are upheld and our clients receive the best service. He's been known to pick a client or two, too!

If he finds any issues, he quickly makes it known with a quick flick of his tail in Zoe’s face, or a highly disgruntled stare.

Also known to be a mouse, keyboard, desk and chair thief, this seemingly innocent character has no issue making his presence known!

Dog
Max

Mental Health First Aider

What can we say about Max?

Not the most senior of the team, but certainly the most sensible, most of the time. And he loves sleeping, a lot.

This boy has an incedible sense of when he is needed and can often be found sneaking under the desk and placing his head ever so gently in your lap, working those puppy dog eyes like a pro!

Max is renowned for breaking himself when he's had a hoolie on a walk, at which point we return the favour and become his emotional support humans.

Dog
Casper

Head of Security

Casper heads up our site security, and for good reason. Despite being the oldest of the team, this boy can hear so much as an ant fart outside of the building.

Also known as a sock stealer, this boy is famous for always carrying something in his mouth - good job we keep the crochet underpants hidden!

Although he spends much of day sleeping, Casper is always on guard ensuring that we are safe, and is desperately trying to train the CHO as his replacement in preparation for his retirement.

Dog
Logan

Chief Happiness Officer

Also known as Chaotic House Pirahna. In fact, this labradorable little face is known by many names within the business, often causing havoc throughout the day.

He has a narrow skillset at the moment, specialising in cuddles, chewing and raiding bins, so Lauren spends much of her time chasing him around trying to retrieve the latest item he has stolen.

He has made an appearance in a few meetings now and has never failed to bring smiles to the faces of all those that he meets!

Oscar

Distraction Manager

Oscar is the latest addition to the Agar Bowles team.

With his eyes set on Logan's position, he's certainly trying his best to stay centre of attention!

For this reason, we've given him the role of Distraction Manager; this boy loves to make sure you take adequate screen breaks by stealing socks, and is helping the team build resilience in distracting situations.

He's also a keen dust chaser, so along with plenty of laughs, he makes sure that the office is kept clean and tidy!
